The inflation rate in January stood at 2.74 per cent, down from 2.79 per cent in December and up from 1.57 per cent in the corresponding month of last year, the Central Office of Statistics said.

In January this year, the Retail Price Index went down by 0.54 per cent to 104.70 from 105.27 in the previous month.
