France flanker Serge Betsen could miss his country's opening Six Nations matches against Scotland and England after he picked up a thigh injury in training.

The experienced forward will definitely miss the match against Scotland in Paris on February 5 and is doubtful for the clash against world champions England at Twickenham the following Sunday.

The Biarritz blindside was already in danger of missing the two matches through suspension after being cited by Wasps for a trip on Stuart Abbott in a Heineken Cup match last weekend that left the England centre with a broken leg.
