A Swieqi man was yesterday charged with insurance fraud.

Ivan Cutajar, 34, pleaded guilty to fabricating evidence and lodging a false report in Valletta on May 22, 2001, at about 7.30 p.m.

He was also charged with committing perjury two days later.

Cutajar was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspector Carmelo Bartolo prosecuted.
