Inter winger Cristian "Kily" Gonzalez is expected to be out of action until January after tearing an adductor muscle in his right leg, the Serie A club announced yesterday.
The 31-year-old Argentine international picked up the injury during last week's World Cup qualifier against Uruguay, which Argentina lost 1-0, Inter said on their official website.
Gonzalez has struggled to earn a regular place in Inter's starting line-up since he arrived at the club from Valencia in August 2003.
Last season, a serious knee injury limited him to just 14 Serie A appearances. His absence cuts down the options available to Inter coach Roberto Mancini, who has already had to cope without Javier Zanetti and Dejan Stankovic while they recover from injuries.
