The International Office is responsible for developing, planning and implementing the University's internationalisation policy, particularly in the area of relations with other institutions and in promoting the University overseas.
The office represents the University in international activities, and assists other University departments and institutes to network internationally and participate in and obtain overseas funding for projects.
In particular, the International Office markets University courses overseas, responds to requests for information, and generally deals with all aspects involving the recruitment and welfare of overseas students. There is an internal call for applications open up to noon of July 3 for the post of assistant director at the International Office.
He or she will assist the director managing bilateral and other co-operation agreements with overseas universities and institutions; planning and assisting in the University's participation in international programmes; marketing University courses and other programmes; liasing with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, Maltese embassies and foreign embassies in connection with the University's participation in cultural agreement programmes; organising study-abroad and summer school programmes for overseas universities, institutions and students; developing the managing programmes for visiting delegations; managing and supervising the staff of the International Office and represent the director at meetings both in Malta or overseas.
