International property website

A new British property website with the facility to search for second or holiday homes to buy or rent in 14 countries across the world, has just gone online.

The international property website includes properties in France, Italy, Spain, US - in particular Florida - the Caribbean, Cyprus and Portugal, these being the most popular countries worldwide, according to the company's recent research.

However, sites for properties in Malta, South Africa, Germany, Greece, Gibraltar, Ireland and the UK will be added over the next couple of months.

The site includes a large database of property spanning apartments and luxury villas to buy or rent, businesses such as restaurants and bars for sale, information on hotel accommodation, and land for sale.

People with property to sell or rent (whether short or long-term leases) can register properties on-line from the website, for a one-off registration fee.

"Vendors seem to like the principle of the site which puts purchasers in direct contact with them, without the need to involve property agents, who in many countries add significantly to the final purchase," founder Ken Lakin said.
