Investors and bond-holders of various Corinthia public companies, including IHI plc, Corinthia Finance plc and MIH plc, were among the first guests to stay at the group’s new hotel in London.
The visit by the 160-strong group formed part of month-long pre-opening preparations of the €360 million property situated a stone’s throw away from Trafalgar Square and Downing Street.
The investors were treated to a programme of events to experience the ambience and fine cuisine at the hotel’s outlets, including the seafood speciality restaurant, Massimo’s, the Northall Restaurant and the Bassoon Bar.
The highlight of the trip took place on the last night with a grand formal dinner at the elegant and opulent ballroom.
The group also visited Oxford, which included a guided tour of Christ Church, one of the University’s largest colleges, and a visit to the city’s ancient cathedral.
Developed over the last two- and-a-half years, the Corinthia Hotel London joins the group’s family of luxury hotels in Europe and the Middle East. Centrally located at Whitehall Place, it is within walking distance of London’s major historic landmarks, theatres, museums, shopping and entertainment outlets, with Leicester Square, Regents Street, Covent Garden, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament just a few minutes away.
