US denies that one of its warships was struck in the Strait of Hormuz
The claim was made by Iran on Monday morning

The United States has denied a claim by Iran that an American frigate was hit by two missiles as it entered the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.s.
Iran's Fars news agency reported that two missiles hit a US warship near Jask Island after it ignored Iranian warnings. It said the vessel was "forced to retreat and flee the area".
But US Central Command issued a denial.
"No U.S. Navy ships have been struck. U.S. forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports," Central Command, which oversees US forces in the Middle East, said in a post on X.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump said the US Navy would start escorting ships across the strait. Iran warned that would breach the ceasefire terms.
On Monday, Iran's navy issued a map showing the area of the Strait of Hormuz under its control.
UAE says Iran fired drones at oil tanker
The UAE on Monday said Iran fired two drones at a tanker affiliated with its state oil company ADNOC in the Strait of Hormuz, condemning the attack.
"Targeting commercial shipping and using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of economic coercion or blackmail represents acts of piracy by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps," the foreign ministry said, adding there were no injuries.
