THE Italo-Maltese cultural agreement provides for ten bursaries per year of ten days each for Maltese academics interested in collaboration with Italian counterparts in such areas on teaching, research and seminars.

The bursaries carry a subsistence allowance of €93 per day. Travel costs to Italy are to be met by the bursary holder.

Applications are invited for bursaries to be taken up next year. The visits to Italy can only commence after March 1.

Members of the academic staff interested in these bursaries are to submit applications by Wednesday to the International Office on campus (Room no. 215).

Applications, accompanied by a curriculum vitae and a letter of invitation from the Italian university concerned, should be endorsed by the applicant's head of department.

For any additional information contact Joseph Grech, assistant director, International Office, at joe.grech@um.edu.mt.
