Daniel Bajada further enhanced his reputation yesterday after winning the singles title at a tournament organised by the Italian Table Tennis Federation in Terni.

On a high after capturing the doubles title with team-mate Giuseppe Coletta on Saturday, Bajada met the highly-ratedItalian player Vincenzo Della Carra in yesterday’s singles final.

Della Carra raced into a 2-0 lead after winning the first two sets 13-11, 11-7. But Bajada, who is currently engaged with Italian Serie B1 side AS Fiaccola, produced a strong comeback. The Malta champion took the final three sets 12-10, 12-10 and 11-8 to secure the title.
