The Bank of Valletta KO takes centre stage this weekend when three finals are played at the Corradino Pavilion.
Rivals BUPA Luxol and Pembroke Tumas Group will contest the men's final while Hibs Go Mobile start favourites to retain the women's honour against Naxxar Danone. Depiro and Floriana will fight it out in the men's Division One final.
The Luxol-Pembroke contest will be the third clash in a week between these two great rivals after the Kinnie League match on Sunday and the midweek Super Cup.
Tomorrow, coach Joe Galea will expect his Pembroke shooters to show better form for his team to take revenge for the 60-71 upset in the Super Cup on Wednesday.
Pembroke beat Luxol four times this season although the Louis Borg Cup semi-final victory was overturned after Luxol's protest was upheld.
Strangely, it seems that Luxol have gained mental strength from their boardroom success as now they have collected two consecutive victories over the Reds in a matter of just a few days.
Hibs look strong enough to make it a sixth consecutive KO success. They have already edged out big rivals Depiro from the competition. Tomorrow they face Naxxar, a team they have already beaten twice this season.
Siggiewi sponsorship
Following their success in the Louis Borg Cup, Siggiewi have reached a sponsorship deal running into season 2004-2005 with Smina Poultry Products.
This was announced by Grace Spiteri on behalf of Smina Poultry Products in the presence of David Agius, Siggiewi BC president.
Agius said the agreement was a timely boost for the club, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year. Siggiewi are in contention for the Kinnie League title after reaching the play-offs semi-finals.
