I refer to the interesting letter by Mr J. Falzon on Jack Palance. I am disturbed by the number of letters in your paper which, besides presenting useful information, pass snide remarks on other correspondents.
Removing the sentence "Mr Mangion does not seem to know his subject well" would not lessen the information he gave and yet maintain a pleasant and civilised tone to his contribution.
