A Libyan man was yesterday jailed for a year for threatening and assaulting four police officers at the St Julians police station last year.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman found Abdul Baset Dabia, 36, guilty of assaulting an inspector, a sergeant and two constables on March 19, 2004.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
