A Serbian man was sentenced to nine months imprisonment today after admitting to stealing from a parked Land Rover in St Julian's on Friday evening.

Aleksandar Stojanovic, 36, was charged with stealing a bag containing an iPhone, two Nokia mobile phones, a GPS and a small camera, totalling some €1,200.

The court jailed him for nine months.

Police inspector Trevor Micallef prosecuted.

Leontine Calleja appeared as legal aid for the accused.
Magistrate Monica Vella presided.
