Around 400 people are expected to turn up for Malta's biggest rock concert so far this year.

Beangrowers, just back in Malta after their latest concerts in Berlin and Vienna, are now working on their new album. Brand new songs such as I like you, Northwinds and Waiting will be played for the first time at All Stars on Saturday.

Followers of the local music scene will definitely remember the local band Jane Air. Two years ago, Jane Air were getting a lot of airplay with songs like Drive on Sunday, Naked and Sombre. Also in 2001, Jane Air took part in the XFM (London) unsigned band competition, and went on to make it to the final six bands. As a result, several labels were enquiring about the band and wanted to check them out live.

Vocalist Adam Eyre decided to take the plunge and packed his bags to pursue his music career full-time. In London he met guitarist Mark Thorburn and restarted Jane Air.

Mark and Adam were eventually joined by bassist Steve Nelson and drummer Mason, thereby completing the lineup.

Over the last few months, Jane Air have been busy writing new songs and gigging around London. They have a growing fanbase and are being courted by several record labels and publishers.

Jane Air are managed by Paul Berrow, who managed Duran Duran up to the peak of their success in the mid-80s.

Jane Air are currently in Malta recording at Temple Studios, and while here they will be playing a number of gigs. Besides the All Stars concert, on Sunday, May 25, they will play an acoustic set at The Rolling Stone, Ball, Street Paceville.
