Tickets for the 15th edition of the Malta Jazz Festival being held from July 15 to 17 are now on sale.

This year's festival features an impressive line-up of talented musicians. They include John Zorn, who for over 20 years has composed music for nearly 30 films, and Greg Osby, who prior to Malta will be touring Europe with concerts in Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Spain.

An innovative feature in this year's festival is the music workshop - led by one of the acts participating in the festival - which will be open to Maltese jazz musicians.

The executive director of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, Paul Mifsud, said: "This year's festival will provide music lovers with an impressive selection of different styles of jazz. The Malta Jazz Festival offers a unique opportunity to hear and see some of the world's leading exponents of this genre before the magnificent backdrop of the Grand Harbour."

Tickets are priced at Lm7 for one evening or Lm 15 for a weekend ticket. Tickets will also be available from the main entrance to the festival venue, one hour before the start of each performance.

They can be purchased from St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Castille Square or the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230, Republic Street, Valletta.

The festival is sponsored by Cisk Export, Vodafone, Le Meridien Phoenicia and the American Centre.
