One of the three Maltese Australians critically injured in a jeep accident on Tuesday has taken a turn for the better and is now in a stable condition, the police said.

The other two are still in danger of dying and the fourth victim, who was seriously injured, remains in a stable condition. The four women were on a jeep tour at the former military shooting range in Ghajn Tuffieha when the jeep they were in fell a height of one storey.

The driver escaped injuries.
