The Dance Workshop is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a spectacular show revolving around one of the world's most sought after treasures - jewels.
Jewels, this year's annual dance production, is full of clever and stylish numbers. It will be held in St Agatha Auditorium, Rabat on April 6 and 7.
Theresa Lungaro-Mifsud, Pamela Kerr and Maria Louise Gingell have produced modern ballets as well as recreated some of the romance and high drama of the grand ballet tradition.
Francesca Abela Tranter, Claire Cassola and Jes Sciberras were responsible for the modern dance section as well as the intriguing contemporary dances.
Some of the most beautiful music in the classical and modern arenas has also been used to infuse life into rubies, garnets, diamonds, amethysts and other trinkets.
Maria Pisani, Ernest Camilleri and Rita Caruana have completed hundreds of colourful costumes, to bring out the essence of the gems.
Adrian Mamo and Mario Borg have designed the scenery while Nexos is responsible for supplying dramatic lighting.
Jewels promises to be a thrilling combination of dance, music and design and inspiring experience, which should not be missed.
Tickets, which cost Lm4 and Lm5, can be bought from The Dance Workshop or the Dance Studio. The ticket hotline is 9942 9233 or 2124 2465.
