Eurozone seasonally-adjusted unemployment stood at 8.9 per cent in December, compared to 8.8 per cent in the previous month, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities, said.

It was also 8.9 per cent in December 2003.

The EU25 unemployment rate hit 8.9 per cent last December, unchanged when compared to November. It was 9.1 per cent in December 2003.
