Joint marketing agreement

Maltapost plc and Ascent Software Ltd, a leading software supplier in Malta and joint developer of the Hermes retail system, have signed a joint marketing agreement.

The agreement follows the recent installation of a Hermes point-of-sale system in all 31 Maltapost branches in Malta and Gozo. This system will enable Maltapost to increase efficiency and diversify its services over the counters, besides helping to reduce the amount of back office work which was part of the previous manual system.

The implementation of the Hermes system is part of the company's corporate strategy to upgrade its systems and introduce new technologies with the objective of improving efficiency and service levels to the customer.
