The Institute of Maltese Journalists has condemned the manhandling of a photographer of The Times on Wednesday evening.

The photographer was manhandled soon after he arrived near the Casino di Venezia in Vittoriosa following the armed hold-up.

It was unacceptable for members of the media to be treated in such a way when fulfilling their duty in a lawful manner, the institute said.
