A man who held shares in a company on behalf of an army officer yesterday called upon the officer to take all necessary action to transfer the shares onto his own name.

Johann Baldacchino Romano filed a judicial letter in the First Hall of the Civil Court against Lieutenant Colonel Claudio Spiteri.

Mr Baldacchino Romano told the court that the parties had entered into an agreement in 2003 whereby the shares held by Lt Col Spiteri in Personal Security Services Ltd and Vigilante Security Services Ltd would be registered in Mr Baldacchino Romano's name.

Mr Baldacchino Romano called upon the officer to take immediate action to transfer the shares to his own name.

Lt Col Spiteri was also called upon to take the necessary steps to terminate Mr Baldacchino Romano's involvement with the companies, with the Commissioner of VAT, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the Police Commissioner.

Lawyer Sarah Sultana signed the judicial letter.
