The pressure is on Juventus as they travel to face Lazio in Serie A tomorrow having let slip a three-point lead over title rivals Milan.

Juve's 1-0 defeat at home to Inter on Wednesday allowed Milan to return to joint top with the Turin side after they defeated Chievo at the San Siro.

Milan and Juve will face each other on May 8 in a match which will go a long way to determining the destination of the 'scudetto' and neither side wants to go into that game with a point deficit.

Today's matches could see the pendulum swing to Milan who have, on paper, the easier game at home to struggling Parma while Juve make their tricky trip to the capital.

Juve's difficulties have been added to by the three match suspension imposed on their Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after video evidence caught him elbowing Inter's Colombian defender Ivan Cordoba.

Coach Fabio Capello is already without French forward David Trezeguet who is still suffering from an ankle injury and so Uruguayan Marcelo Zalayeta is the only possible partner for Alessandro Del Piero in attack.

Capello also has problems in defence where Paolo Montero, Jonathan Zebina, Gianluca Pessotto and Alessandro Birindelli are all sidelined meaning 19-year-old Andrea Masiello, who made his debut as a sub against Inter, is in line for his first Serie A start at right back.

Although Lazio are adrift in midtable, a full 29 points behind Juventus, they go into the game in decent form having picked up seven points from their last three matches.

The Rome side also have a good record in the fixture not having lost to 'The Old Lady' since a defeat six years ago when Thierry Henry, now with Arsenal, scored twice for Juve.

Milan, who face PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League semi-final first leg match on Tuesday, are without midfielders Rui Costa and Andrea Pirlo for the visit of Parma.

Argentine Hernan Crespo is likely to start against the club where he first made his mark in Italy while on the opposing side Italy striker Alberto Gilardino, long linked with a move to Milan, will be the main threat as he looks to add to his 17 goals in Serie A this season.

Other matches...

Atalanta vs Palermo - Bottom club Atalanta's revival has been halted by two straight defeats and they will have a tough job of ending that run when they face the Sicilians.

Palermo still hold hopes of a place in the Champions League next season but they will have to improve on their recent form which has brought just one win in their last six games.

Bologna vs Fiorentina - Fiorentina face the real threat of a return to Serie B and coach Dino Zoff's position will be in doubt if they cannot pick up a much-needed victory at Bologna and end their five match winless run.

Zoff is boosted by the return to fitness of Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov who is likely to start on the bench while Fabrizio Miccoli should start in attack.

Brescia vs Reggina - Defeat could drag Reggina back into the relegation battle with Brescia whose battling performances of late have brought little fruit in terms of their league positions.

Spirited draws against Palermo and Milan show that Brescia have the ability to get out of the bottom three but they need to start winning games like this.

Chievo vs Cagliari - Chievo are just a point off the relegation zone and although Cagliari are safe they go into this game in poor form and without strikers Gianfranco Zola and David Suazo.

Livorno vs Lecce - Lecce still need to pick up some points to be secure of their Serie A status but they have lost their last five away matches.

Roberto Donadoni's Livorno are unbeaten at home in their last seven games.

Messina vs Inter - Inter's win at Juve maintained their unbeaten away record and help strengthen their third place.

Messina have only lost twice at home this season but suffered a 5-0 hammering when they met Inter at the San Siro earlier in the campaign.

Sampdoria vs Roma - Roma are getting dangerously close to the relegation zone with their defeat at home to Siena leaving them just six points from the bottom three and a defeat at Sampdoria would complicate matters further.

To add to Roma's difficulties, captain Francesco Totti has been suspended for five matches after he was sent off for hitting a Siena player.

Siena vs Udinese - Siena's revival in recent weeks has included wins over Milan and Roma but they are still only three points away from the relegation zone.

Udinese have stumbled of late and allowed Samp to get a grip on fourth place and they are without striker Antonio Di Natale who scored in the 1-0 win over Siena earlier this season.
