Karozzin driver admits to setting stable on fire

There were no animals in the stable at the time of the incident

A 34-year-old karrozzin driver pleaded guilty to setting an empty stable on fire.

Kersten Catania from Marsa appeared before the court on Thursday afternoon, accused of arson, wilfully damaging third-party property, and breaching the public peace.

The man was also charged with breaching two sets of bail conditions and recidivism.

The man admitted the charges.

Details of his arrest were scant during the proceedings, but it is understood that the man set another man’s stable on fire.

Bail was not requested at this stage, and he was remanded in custody.

The case was adjourned until later this month.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit presided.
