Kavallieri beat Salesians in convincing fashion to make sure of the runners-up spot in the league behind champions La Salle. The game had no story at all as Kavallieri dictated matters from beginning to end.

Salesians couldn't match their opponents' methodical play and hope they can make a quick recovery for the KO competition, starting tomorrow.

The first half was rather entertaining as Josephine Gauci managed a string of fine saves to keep Salesians in the game.

However, the second half saw Kavallieri working their way through the Salesians defence with relative ease, scoring 17 times in the process and conceding only four goals. Johanna Rizzo was Kavallieri's top scorer with six goals. Daniela Bezzina hit three for Salesians.
