Three tiny kittens have been saved from certain death after being abandoned in a skip just hours within birth.

The kittens - each of which fits comfortably in the palm of a hand - were found by an animal lover in a skip in Swieqi, where they had been dumped.

Freddie Fenech of the Abandoned Animals Association (AAA) said that ideally kittens needed to be two months old before being separated from their mother.

Meanwhile the two beautiful huskies that were found in Pembroke last week have been returned to their owner, Mr Fenech said.

Two people found the two dogs, and one of the finders was willing to keep the snow-white dogs if the owner did not come forward. Mr Fenech said the dogs' owner was also from Pembroke and the dogs had run away, and spent around three or four days roaming the streets, but stayed together.
