During a short ceremony, in the presence of University Library officials, Dr Jonathan C. Borg, Head, Department of Manufacturing Engineering, presented the Rector, Professor Roger Ellul-Micallef, with copies of the book Knowledge Intensive Design Technology.

The book, edited by Dr Borg, Philip Farrugia and Dr Kenneth P. Camilleri, consists of refereed papers selected from those that were presented at the Fifth IFIP WG5.2 Workshop on Knowledge Intensive CAD held in Malta during 2002.

Published by Kluwer Academic, this book is essential reading for practicing engineers and scientists involved in Research and Development as well as for relevant Master's and Ph.D. students.

It has so far already been distributed in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Europe and USA. Both the Rector and University Library director, Anthony Mangion, thanked the editors for their work in publishing this book and for the presentation of copies to the University Library.
