In the final programme for this schedule of Laboratorju Letterarju, which has a repeat today at 9 a.m. on Campus FM 103.7, Dr Gloria Lauri-Lucente interviewed Dr Marina Morbiducci on the literary works of Gertrude Stein.

Dr Morbiducci graduated in Anglo-American literature with a thesis on the Black Mountain poets. In 2003, she earned her research doctorate from the University of Chieti-Pescara with a dissertation on Gertrude Stein.

Dr Morbiducci has translated into Italian works by Robert Creeley, Patti Smith, Kathleen Fraser, and Gertrude Stein. Her publications include Black Mountain, Poesia e poetica (1987) and the translation of Stein's Tender Buttons. She is currently Reader in the Department of Italian within the Faculty of Arts, where she teaches courses on techniques of translation, History of Italy, and Contemporary Italian Culture.

She collaborates with the journal of postmodern literature How2, where she has recently published two essays on Gertrude Stein. Last year she introduced and edited a selection of haiku by Oliver Friggieri.
