Six property owners yesterday filed a judicial protest in the First Hall of the Civil Court claiming that WasteServ Malta Ltd had applied to develop their land.

The protest was filed by Tessie Sciberras, Polly Gauci, Pawlu Bonavia, Mary Bonavia, John Bonavia, and Joseph Bonavia, owners of over three tumoli of land in the limits of Magħtab, which bordered the area known as Green Skip. WasteServ had applied for a development permit from Mepa to develop this land but had in no way consulted the land owners.

The six owners said they were opposed to the issue of the development permit and that they needed the land for their own purposes.

They called upon WasteServ to halt the project and refrain from entering their land.

Lawyer Anġlu Farrugia signed the protest.
