Ladies Promotion League

Salesians HC 11
Aloysians 12

In a pulsating match Aloysians were stretched to the limit by Salesians as a late goal saw them clinching all three points and maintaining their status at the top of the table.

Salesians are under the guidance of Joseph Tanti. He is currently in Malta following the completion of his first part of the International Handball Academy in Denmark.

With both teams level at 11-11, the last two minutes of the game proved crucial. Salesians failed to strike a winner, mainly due to goalkeeper Charlene Busuttil's heroics, but Aloysians hit the decisive goal 40 seconds from time through Eve Wilkinson.

Best player: Brenda Camilleri (Aloysians).

This was a rather comfortable win for La Salle which saw them moving into second place on four points. It was Kavallieri's second consecutive defeat. They are still without points.

Best player: Bernardette Vassallo (La Salle).
