Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna has launched a programme to educate children about heritage using a hands-on approach.
A typical session in the Hands-on Heritage Education Programme may involve wearing a period gas mask and exploring the air-raid shelters at the Malta at War Museum in Vittoriosa, viewing and learning about the Lord Armstrong 100-ton gun at Fort Rinella in Kalkara, or making ancient pottery ware at Kordin III Temples in Paola, using the skills and the equipment that were typical to the temple period.
FWA is offering this programme on a daily basis at Fort Rinella, the Old Saluting Battery in Valletta, the Malta at War Museum and the Kordin III Temples.
