Letter box moved

I have read about the letter box which has been removed from Swieqi and this reminded me that the same thing had happened to our area in Kappara.

What happened in our case was that the letter box was removed from its site at the top of Triq ic-Cawl and placed in the reception desk of Sundown Court. This action, done with the blessings of our local council, precluded, in practical terms, its use by the residents of the locality.

Our mayor had promised that the matter was to be seen to in a couple of months but as yet, notwithstanding that some years have passed, nothing has been done.

We feel it should be resited to its former place or in any other convenient place for the benefit of all the neighbourhood.
