An arson attack on letter boxes in Triq Santu Rokku and Triq il-Barrieri, in Kirkop, on Tuesday, meant the destruction of a number of postal items, which are consequently undeliverable, Maltapost said yesterday.

The last collection from the boxes in question was made just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The letters affected are those posted at the boxes between this collection and the one just prior to 9 p.m.

Partially burnt items are being forwarded or returned to sender accordingly, Maltapost said.
