An appeal court yesterday confirmed a judgment which ordered KullHadd editor Felix Agius to pay the partners of Where's Everybody? Lm3,000 libel damages.

In confirming the judgment handed down by Magistrate Silvio Meli on November 26, 2002, the Appeals Court, presided over by Mr Justice Philip Sciberras, agreed that the article entitled "Ta' Where's Everybody jaharbu" (Where's Everybody partners on the run) published in KullHadd on December 9, 2001, was libellous.

The article included allegations that the partners of Where's Everybody received a commission from the TV charity programme l-Istrina.
