As the sun set on Sunday evening, the slopes of Għar Ilma in Santa Luċija, a hamlet in Gozo, were lit up in spectacular fashion with hundreds of flaming lanterns.

This traditional 'Fjakkolata’ – a festival of lights - has been taking place in the hamlet for over 30 years and marks the last apparition of Our Lady in Fatima.
