I refer to the article "Lija church restoration gets a helping hand from HSBC" (August 2). On behalf of the parish community, I would like to thank the HSBC Balzan branch for their Lm50 contribution towards this project which is being undertaken to restore this magnificent church dedicated to Our Saviour and save the Calì frescoes from further damage.

In the meantime I would like to inform those individuals and organisations who would like to contribute to this project, to contact the parish office or do deposit their contributions directly at HSBC Balzan branch: Account No: 1104 7867001.
