Dr giovanni s. Menotti asks: what right does the parish priest "who does not even hail from the village" have in dictating what to do with an important building?

Likewise, what right has Dr Menotti to preach to us from Michigan?

If he has spoken to "parishioner friends", he should know that there is no pending debt for the façade's restoration.

Does he know what that means? It's very simple: most of the parishioners are pleased with the work and have donated enough cash to cover the project. They still continue to donate money to ensure that the project is completed.

The parish priest should continue in his endeavour to make the parish church more of a gem than it already is.
