Perhaps Mr Martin Aquilina (The Sunday Times, December 18) is one who loves to speed through Lija's narrow streets?

Has he tried walking through the narrowest part of Main Street with a pushchair, accompanied by a second child, and carrying some shopping? You risk being hit by a car's side mirror, or worse, by a speeding car.

I thank Lija's councillors for laying the sleeping policemen because they deter maniacs from driving at full speed, ignoring all speed limits.
