Masquerade Theatre Company's next production at the Manoel Theatre is Like Totally Weird, a suspenseful drama penned by William Mastrosimone.
The play is a darkly comical piece about two teenage boys who kidnap a famous Hollywood producer and his girlfriend while acting out violent scenes from movies that he produced.
Like Totally Weird examines the effect of gratuitous cinema violence on young people. It uses humour to expose taboos and allows people to laugh at uncomfortable or awkward situations that they normally shy away from.
Directed by Anthony Bezzina, the cast is made up of Kevin Drake, Isabel Warrington, Chris Dingli and Stefan Cheriet-Busuttil. Peter Howitt has designed the elegant set.
It runs between April 16-18. Tickets can be booked by phoning 2124 6389, or email bookings@ teatrumanoel.com.mt.
