A magistrate yesterday ordered the arrest of a man for breaching the bail conditions and ordered that the bail bond money amounting to a total of Lm1,200 be confiscated.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera gave the ruling after hearing that Johan Sultana, who was charged with committing a series of thefts, was out at 2.50 a.m. on February 11. This was in breach of his bail conditions.

She recommended the prison authorities to encourage Sultana to carry out assessments, required by Sedqa, while in prison.

Inspector Silvio Valletta prosecuted.
