The HSBC Cares For Children Fund has presented about Lm400 worth of publications to the primary school in Gudja.

The books were presented to head of school George Sammut by HSBC's southern area director Francis X. Gouder.

Over the past year, the fund has been distributing books to various primary schools in Malta.

"This initiative reinforces HSBC's support for the fight against illiteracy and the determination to help to provide all children in Malta with the opportunity to obtain a good education," Mr Gouder said.
