A 31-year-old Cospicua hunter who was found guilty of shooting a protected bird and relapsing was fined Lm50 by the Magistrates' Court.
Grazio Mifsud was found guilty of carrying a loaded firearm at sea within three kilometres from the foreshore on February 26, 2003. Mifsud was found guilty of being in possession of a dead gull, with enticing others to break the hunting laws and with being a relapser, following a sentence on another hunting law infringement on November 1, 1999.
Inspector Alexander Miruzzi prosecuted. Dr Franco Debono appeared for Mifsud.
