Labour Party general secretary Jimmy Magro yesterday said that for the party to do well in the March 2004 local elections its various structures needed to be totally united and hard working.
"Deputies, candidates, councillors, district committees and local committees must convey the party's message in favour of local efforts that reflect the citizens' real aspirations," Mr Magro said at an internal meeting called to discuss the campaign plan.
He urged those interested in contesting the elections to come forward immediately to undertake training provided by the party and contribute towards the electoral manifesto.
