Allow me to add my comments to your excellent leader (September 10) regarding the local wardens. While I agree with you on the need of the warden service, I think that the trouble is that they are the wrong people for the job, they are often in the wrong place and often book the wrong persons.

It seems that they inherited the habit of their former job holders (the police seem to have abandoned this role) and go only after the small fry, mainly parking offenders while ignoring other more serious ones.

Yes, one would like to have some statistics. Now that the computer is easily available this is not difficult.
