The Farmers Central Cooperative management committee yesterday locked out 11 employees who were refusing to work a reduced week imposed by the cooperative, the General Workers' Union said.

The GWU said the proposed reduced working week would mean that the workers would get one day less pay.

The union added it has proposed that these workers would be assigned to a subsidiary company.
