On many occasions I have complained to the Qawra police station regarding loud music emanating from a bar till very late in the morning. Their response is always either "We are on our way" or "There is no sergeant at the moment", meaning "we are definitely not coming".

I have therefore filed a report with the police (91v/1230/2005) asking the inspector to initiate court proceedings against the owners but even after three weeks, nothing has been done. I have therefore spoken to the inspector who promised to send someone late at night. Guess what - no one showed up and loud music continues to be played every day.

Again I phoned the inspector who told me that I should file another report. The patience of residents in my street has been tested to the limit. Will justice ever be served?
