Culture minister Louis Galea leaves Malta for China today, where he will be leading a delegation on the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Sun Jin Zhung.

The visit follows an agreement signed in July last year. As well as the culture minister, Dr Galea is expected to meet Deputy Prime Minister Li Lan-qing, education minister Chen Zhili and the deputy minister for science and technology, Liu Yuanhua in Beijing.

The minister will also meet other authorities in the culture, education and science and technology fields in Xian and Shangai. He is also expected to visit a number of schools, colleges, and places of historical and cultural interest.
