To Mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Education, two M.Ed. (Master's in Education) dissertation showcase seminars will be held consisting of presentations on their thesis findings by a selection of M.Ed. graduates who obtained their M.Ed. from 2000 onwards.

These are wonderful opportunities for members of the Maltese educational policy community to obtain an indication of the kind of graduate research being carried out at the Master's level, in the Faculty of Education.

Eight M.Ed. graduates have been chosen, on the recommendation of supervisors and area co-ordinators, to present their work. Four will be presenting next week and the remaining four will be delivering their presentation in November. The first of the two seminars takes place at Le Meridien Phoenicia, on Friday between 4 and 8 p.m.

The Minister of Education and the University Rector are expected to provide short addresses. Various representatives of the Maltese educational policy community, besides all members of the Faculty of Education, have also been invited to attend.

The showcase seminar will be followed by another event, which will take place at the same venue, the following week on Friday June 27, in which the Faculty's online refereed research journal, Journal of Maltese Education Research, and a number of books by Faculty members will be officially launched in Malta.

There will also be a display of a cross section of research publications (these include books, monographs and papers in international refereed journals) by members of the Faculty of Education, a faculty that has made its mark locally and internationally because of its very strong publications profile.

These activities are being held on the initiative of the Faculty of Education's Publications Committee.
