Madliena roadworks

Last week a contractor was trenching a part (a short stretch) of Madliena Road corner with Triq Id-Dis for the installation of some cables.

After three days the trenches were closed and we were left with a pool of dust which is a killer for someone like me who suffers from asthma.

I hope that the local council and the authorities will take the necessary steps to "force" the irresponsible contractor to finish up the road properly and also to blacklist this contractor from any future contracts.

I must take this opportunity to highlight that, since I have been living in this area of Madliena for the past 30 years, the disastrous state of the road infrastructure (not to mention other shortcomings) has got worse from year to year.
