The film Swept Away, which was filmed in Malta over a period of three weeks last October, is expected to be released sometime in September.

Starring Madonna and directed by her husband Guy Ritchie, the name of Swept Away was changed to Love, Sex, Drugs and Money in an eleventh-hour decision by Ritchie. But Sony has confirmed that the release title for the upcoming, low-budget, romantic drama, is Swept Away once again.

It has also been confirmed that Jennifer Aniston of Friends fame is part of the cast, though she only has a cameo role.

The movie was filmed at the Rinella water tanks in Kalkara, along the Vittoriosa waterfront, Comino and out at sea, as well as in Sardinia.
